       Application

Place concrete and strike off to level of finished floor . Use bull float or derby to level surface . Allow the slab to bleed . To remove bleed water , drag  surface with burlap or rubber base .

After the concrete has stiffed to the point of supporting floating operations , open the surface by hard hand-floating or power floating .Normally a finishers foot print of approx. 8 mm in depth indicates that a slab is ready for power floating . Earlier floating of slab edges by hand is strongly recommended since edges will dry first .

For best results and uniform of thickness Eucohard floors should be applied in two or three shakes using approx. two third the total amount for the first shake .

Immediately after the slab surface has been opened by floating , apply the first shake in a uniform application by hand , spreader or suitable method .

Allow the first shake to remain unworked on the surface until it has absorbed moisture and achieved a dark and uniform colour . Then float with hard or power float immediately after , apply second shake again making application to the edges first .

After second shake has absorbed its moisture float the same manner as out lined .Flat trawling should be done keeping the trowel flat and only after the surface has become dull .

When the surface has sufficiently set , a second and final trawling shall be given to the floor . Continue trawling process until the desired surface finish is achieved . Immediately after the final smoothing apply curing compound or water . Cured floors shall be ready for light traffic after 7 to 14 days

EUXIT 100

Description

A solvent containing , colour less, two component preparation of  liquid epoxy resin with formulated amine hardeners.

Fields  of application

EUXIT 100 is used to impregnate and to seal all cement bound surfaces, such as old concrete, fresh concrete, plaster etc., for example, concrete roads, high rise and underground garages, concreted parking areas, factories, aircraft hangars, industrial floors, petrol stations, garages, terraces and balconies.

Product characteristics

EUXIT 100 is an impregnation preparation on clear as water, and has an extremely low viscosity. Because of its high capillary action, it forces itself deeply into the foundation material and covers all pores and capillaries. Cement bound surfaces are thereby sealed against penetration by water solvent substances .The penetration of steam is impeded, but however, is  not completely prevented. The impregnated surfaces are hardened, resistance to abrasion and chemicals in considerably  improved; concrete becomes  resistant to the effects of frost-thawsalt .

Surface preparation

Cement bound surfaces should be free of, all dirt particles, free of oil and grease, and also, if possible, should be dry. Mechanical pretreatment is not normally necessary.

Application  Impregnation :

To impregnate concrete of grade BN 300, in general, an amount of 150 to 300 g EUXIT 100/m2 is sufficient, depending on the absorbency of the concrete, the total amount should be applied in 1-3 coating with intervals of about 15 minutes between each (wet on wet). Thereby the best possible depth of penetration and an even matt surface will be obtained. The surface traction will then be only very slightly affected .

Sealing:

In addition to the impregnation coatings, after an  interval of 6-24 hours, another coating of EUXIT 100 should be applied.

Consumption approx. 200 g/m2.

Thereby an evenly sealed surface will be obtained. The top surface of the concrete will be resistant to strongly reactive substances.

Remarks

Due the different absorbency of the concrete, different colour of the concrete after the treatment with EUXIT 100 can be possible.

Surface preparation

Cement bound surfaces should be free of loose dirt particles, oil and grease, and if possible, should be dry. Mechanical preparation is not normally required for impregnation.

Iron and steel must be free of rust and scale, and in addition, free from oil dust, grease and other impurities. If necessary, sand blast.

Asphalt must be firm, dry free of loose particles and protruding material, free from dust, oil and grease. In addition 75% of the aggregate (granulation) should lay free on the top surfaces.

Application  Impregnation :

To impregnate concrete grade. BN 300, approximately 50% EUXIT 501 thinner should be added to the EUXIT 101 .

Material consumption 150-300 thinned EUXIT 101.

Depending on the absorption of the surface, the entire amount can be applied in 1-3 coating at intervals of 15 minutes (wet on wet).

Thereby the highest possible depth of penetration and evenly distributed matt top surface will be achieved. Traction grip of the surfaces will thereby insignificantly impaired.

Sealing :

Apart from the so called impregnation coatings, after 6-25 hours interval, a further coating of thinned EUXIT 101 should be applied.Material consumption, approx. 250 g/m2.Thereby an even smooth coating is achieved. The concrete surfaces will be resistant against abrasion .

EUXIT ZNP

Anti-Corrosive Paint

Description

A solvent containing pigmented two component epoxy resin containing the anti-corrosive pigment zinc-dust.

Main purpose

EUXIT ZNP is used as anti-corrosive paint for iron and steel.

EUXIT ZNP serves as a primer for iron and steel if afterwards a thin synthetic resin coat is applied. In addition

EUXIT ZNP can be used for concrete repair works, by protecting the exposed reinforcement from further corrosion.

Product characteristics

After proper hardening  EUXIT ZNP shows a high abrasion resistance and an excellent hardness.

EUXIT ZNP is resistant to fresh, sea- and waste water. In addition

EUXIT ZNP is also good resistant to diluted acids, Alkalis, mineral oils, salt solutions and aliphatic hydrocarbons.

EUXIT ZNP is stable to constant temperatures and temperature changes in the range of -30oC to + 90oC at dry conditions, at wet conditions

EUXIT ZNP is resistant up to 40oC .

Surface preparation

Iron and steel must be free of rust and scale free , and free of oil , dust , grease and other impurities .The best surface preparation is to sand blast iron and steel according to the standard rost 2.213  . The peak - to - valley high should be approx. 50 u .The surface should be according to DIN 55928 part4 .

Application

It is important that the temperature of the surface is always higher than the minimum hardening temperature of EUXIT ZNP In addition the temperature must be 3oC higher than the dew-point in order to avoid any water condensation . The relative humidity should be below 85% .

After EUXIT ZNP is applied , it is necessary to protect the coat from humidity for a period of 5 hours .

In cases where EUXIT ZNP comes in contact with humidity , while the product is not hardened , a colour change (white) will occur on the surface .

The surface will not properly harden in opposite to the underground . if a second coat has to be applied , it is in such cases necessary to remove by sand blasting  the unhardened paint

1-EUXIT ZNP used as primer :

-Surface preparation ( ® surface preparation )

-Apply EUXIT ZNP ( sand - yellow ) by roller or brush material consumption approx. 250 gm / m2

-Apply on the following day a second coat with EUXIT ZNP ( red - brown ) by roller or brush material consumption approx. 250 gm / m2

-10 minutes later sprinkle fine -  dried quartzsand (0.1-0.5 mm) over the second coat .

-Apply earliest on the following day final top coat

Note : if the final top coat is a solvent containing paint , do not sprinkle quartzsand over the second EUXIT ZNP application .

2- EUXIT ZNP for concrete repair work ( reinforcement ) :

-Surface preparation of the corrosive reinforcement ( ® surface preparation )

-Apply immediately after the surface preparation is made , by brush or roller EUXIT ZNP material consumption approx. 300  gm / m2

-Apply 5 - 24 hours later a second coat of EUXIT ZNP material consumption approx. 300 gm / m2

-Sprinkle 10 minutes later fire - dried quartzsand ( 0.1 -0.5 mm )over the EUXIT ZNP coat .

-Further repair work may be done earliest after 1 day .

Tools can be cleaned with EUXIT 501

Remarks

- EUXIT ZNP is flammable .
